PREMIUM-300 is the towel we point you to when you're not sure which one to buy. A 300 GSM, edgeless, 70/30 microfiber towel, it's safe on paint, glass, screens, piano-black trim, and interior surfaces, and absorbent enough for everyday detailing — the closest thing to a true all-purpose detailing towel we make.

It's cut ultrasonically rather than stitched, for a clean edgeless edge with no hard border and low lint, and made from fully split microfiber for grip and absorbency.

Why the 70/30 blend matters

Blend ratio is one of the things that shape how a towel feels — alongside GSM, weave, and edge. A 70/30 blend carries more polyamide, the softer, more absorbent fiber, so it's plusher and lifts more than a higher-polyester mix. It's the premium standard for detailing towels, and the base for PREMIUM-300, THE DAILY, and DUAL TERRY.

An 80/20 blend is firmer and harder-wearing — which one's right depends on the job, not the ratio.

Where it earns its place

  • Interior — plastics, vinyl, console, door cards, dashboards; gentle on the soft-touch surfaces that show every mark.
  • Trim — exterior plastic, rubber seals, interior trim. Lifts dust and grime with a clean, lint-free wipe.
  • Screens and electronics — laptop and infotainment displays, camera lenses, glasses, watch faces. Soft enough where coarser fibers leave fine marks.
  • Quick-detailer and spray work — wipe off a detailer spray streak-free, or spread a panel-applied spray evenly.
  • Delicate household — glass tables, polished metal, watches, jewelry; anywhere a stitched edge would risk marring.
  • Polish and sealant residue — lifts residue cleanly from fresh paint. For heavier polish work, THE DAILY's denser 365 GSM pile leads.

When to reach for another towel

PREMIUM-300 is the everyday all-rounder and the most accessible weight in the 70/30 family. Reach for a different towel when the job is more specific:

  • Heavier polish or leather work — THE DAILY, 365 GSM, plusher and more absorbent.
  • Final glossy buff on fresh wax or coatingPLUSH-380 (380 GSM coral fleece, the softest in the family), or the plush side of DUAL TERRY (450 GSM, dual-sided).
  • Ceramic coating leveling and residuePEARL's closed-loop pearl weave is purpose-built for it; PREMIUM-300 can do it, but PEARL does it better.
  • Lighter, paint-safe utilityLIGHT TERRY (245 GSM, 80/20, edgeless), the economical pick when you don't need a plush pile.
  • Household and rougher cleaningALL PURPOSE (80/20, 35×35 cm, stitched edge), built to be hard-wearing rather than paint-safe.
  • The wash stepCHENILLE MITT.
  • Drying after the wash — the DRY line (DRY-1100, DRY-1500, DRY-2200).

How to use it

Interior and trim: spray cleaner onto the surface, not the towel, then wipe in straight passes.

Screens and optics: work dry or barely damp — never saturate.

Polish removal: let the polish haze, then wipe with light pressure in straight, overlapping passes. Fold the towel in half and in half again for eight clean working faces, and rotate to a fresh face as each one loads up.

General cleaning: damp lifts most residue; dry handles dust and light wipe-downs.

Care

Wash separately from cotton with a microfiber detergent. Never use bleach or fabric softener — both damage the 70/30 fibers and cost you absorbency. Air-dry or tumble on low. Looked after, it lasts hundreds of washes. Snip any loose strands with scissors — it won't affect performance.

Frequently asked questions

Is 300 GSM good for car detailing?

Yes. 300 GSM balances softness, control, and absorbency — dense enough for interior cleaning, quick detailing, trim, and polish-residue removal, while staying easy to handle on delicate surfaces like paint and screens. It's a versatile mid-weight, which is why PREMIUM-300 works as a do-most-things towel rather than a single-purpose one.

What microfiber towel should I use for interior detailing?

A soft, edgeless microfiber towel is usually the safest choice. PREMIUM-300's 70/30 blend and edgeless edge suit dashboards, consoles, door cards, screens, and other sensitive interior surfaces — it lifts dust and grime without dragging a hard stitched border across soft-touch plastics.

What does a 70/30 polyester-polyamide blend mean, and why does it matter?

Microfiber blends mix polyester, the structural fiber, with polyamide, the softer and more absorbent one. A 70/30 ratio carries more polyamide, so it's plusher and lifts more liquid — the premium standard for detailing towels, and the base for PREMIUM-300, THE DAILY, and DUAL TERRY. An 80/20 ratio is firmer and harder-wearing: a different balance for a different job, not a lower grade.

How is PREMIUM-300 different from THE DAILY?

Both share the 70/30 edgeless build; the difference is pile density and use. PREMIUM-300 is 300 GSM — the most accessible weight and the versatile all-rounder for interior, trim, screens, and general detailing. THE DAILY is 365 GSM, plusher and more absorbent, and leads on heavier polish removal and leather work. Many kits keep both.

Can I use PREMIUM-300 for ceramic coating leveling?

Yes — it can level coating and wipe residue on most paints. For coating work specifically, PEARL is the better tool; its closed-loop pearl weave lifts residue cleanly without catching cured coating. PREMIUM-300 is a solid alternative if it's what you have, and some detailers simply prefer it — but if you're investing in coatings, keep PEARL for that step.

Is PREMIUM-300 safe on screens and electronics?

Yes. Its soft 70/30 pile suits delicate surfaces like laptop and infotainment screens, camera lenses, glasses, and watch faces. Work dry or with a barely damp section, and never saturate the towel on a screen. The edgeless edge helps too — there's no stitched border to catch on a bezel or coating.

Can microfiber towels scratch paint?

A clean microfiber towel is generally safe on paint. Scratches usually come from grit trapped in the pile or a rough stitched edge — not the fiber itself. PREMIUM-300 is edgeless, so there's no hard border to drag, and keeping it clean and grit-free is what keeps it paint-safe over time.

What is the eight-face folding technique?

Fold the towel in half, then in half again, and you've got eight clean working faces — four per side. As one face loads up with dirt or product, rotate to a fresh one instead of dragging the same fibers across the surface. It's one of the simplest ways to extend a towel's life and cut down on scratching, and it works with any microfiber towel.

If I can only own one towel, should it be PREMIUM-300?

For most people starting a kit, yes. It's edgeless and paint-safe, capable enough for polish residue yet soft enough for screens and trim, and the 40×40 cm size covers full panels easily. It comes in Sky Blue, Yellow, and Ice Grey, so you can color-code by use — paint, glass, interior — as you add more towels later.

Will it leave lint or streaks?

No. The edgeless terry weave is lint-free, so it won't shed onto trim, glass, or screens. For a streak-free finish on glass and panels, work with a barely damp towel or a quick-detailer spray rather than a soaking one — saturation, not the towel, is usually what leaves streaks.
