Plush Coral Fleece Microfiber Towel for Quick Detail & Final Buff — PLUSH-380

LE 135.00
SIZE: 40 x 40 cm

The PLUSH-380 is the softest towel in the Khemia Plus 70/30 edgeless family. Coral fleece construction at 380 GSM with a 70/30 blend, edgeless — built for the moment in a detailing job when contact pressure needs to disappear completely. The final buff after wax or sealant. The quick detailer (QD) wipe between washes. The final pass after polishing, where you only need to enhance the gloss.

Coral fleece vs terry — why it changes the result

Most premium microfiber towels in detailing — including most of our own — use a terry weave: looped fibers that give the towel "bite" for lifting residue. Bite is great when you have residue to lift. It's not what you want when the surface is already finished and you only need to enhance the gloss without disturbing it.

Coral fleece is the opposite construction: brushed and cut fibers that lay soft and tall, with no loops and very minimal mechanical grab. The contact feel is closer to a soft microfiber blanket than a working towel. This softness is the entire purpose. PLUSH-380 is not designed to scrub or lift residue — it is designed to glide over a finished surface and enhance gloss without disturbing the finish.

Part of the Khemia Plus 70/30 edgeless family

PLUSH-380 shares the 70% polyester / 30% polyamide premium construction with PREMIUM-300, THE DAILY, and DUAL TERRY — the family signature of Khemia Plus premium microfiber. What sets PLUSH-380 apart is the coral fleece construction. The rest of the family uses terry weaves engineered for residue lift; PLUSH-380 is engineered for the opposite role — the final pass where bite would be a flaw.

Where it earns its place

  • Final buff after wax, sealant, or polish — once a residue-lift towel has cleared the surface, PLUSH-380 brings out the final gloss. The hero use case.
  • Quick detailer (QD) spray and wipe — keeping a clean car looking freshly detailed between full washes. The plush surface doesn't drag dust across paint, so you can refresh a panel without risking marring
  • Soft dust removal on cured paint or coatings — when paint is already finished and you just need to lift settled dust without aggressive contact
  • Gentle interior wipes — leather seats, screens, polished trim, console plastics. Anywhere a soft cloth is better than a working towel
  • Light final wipe after coating application on sensitive finishes — after residue has already been leveled with a proper coating towel, PLUSH-380 can be used for a very light final pass on sensitive finishes where extra softness is preferred

How PLUSH-380 fits a real workflow

If you're polishing or coating your car, the proper sequence usually involves three towel types in order:

  1. The residue-lift towel — like THE DAILY's terry weave or DUAL TERRY's dense side — to remove the bulk of polish, sealant, or coating residue
  2. The plush finish towel — PLUSH-380 — to bring the gloss, working softly across the cleaned surface for the final gloss enhancement
  3. The quick refresh — also PLUSH-380, used between washes with a quick detailer (QD) spray to maintain that just-detailed look

Most car owners only own towels for the first job. Pros and serious enthusiasts add a plush finishing towel because the difference between "clean car" and "showroom car" is the final buff.

Where it doesn't fit your kit

Coral fleece's softness comes with real trade-offs. PLUSH-380 isn't the right tool for:

  • Ceramic coating leveling — for the actual leveling step, PEARL (80/20 pearl weave) is the specialist. PLUSH-380 comes after, for a final softer pass if needed
  • Heavy polish or compound residue lift — the soft fibers don't have the bite to lift cured residue cleanly. THE DAILY or DUAL TERRY's dense side handle this
  • Actual car washing — coral fleece in towel format isn't designed to grab and release dirt safely. For wash media, use the CHENILLE MITT with its noodle fibers built specifically for that job
  • Drying after a wash — at 380 GSM, absorbency is moderate, not high. The DRY line (DRY-1100, DRY-1500, or DRY-2200) is built for water uptake
  • Scrubbing or aggressive cleaning — the plush fibers compress and don't grip. LIGHT TERRY works better for tougher work
  • Routine household cleaning — for everyday surface work, ALL PURPOSE TERRY is more economical

How to use it

For final buff: after your residue-lift towel has removed residue, fold PLUSH-380 into quarters. Wipe across the panel in straight overlapping passes with very light pressure — let the soft fibers do the work, don't press them down. Flip to a fresh quarter often. The goal is contact, not friction.

For quick detailer: spray QD directly onto a panel, immediately wipe with PLUSH-380 in straight passes. The plush surface lifts dust and product residue together without smearing.

Care instructions

Coral fleece is more delicate than terry-weave microfiber. Wash separately from cotton (cotton lint is hard to remove from the long brushed fibers). Microfiber-specific detergent is ideal — coral fleece holds detergent in the fibers more than terry, so rinse thoroughly. Never bleach or fabric softener — both flatten the fibers and you'll lose the plush feel that defines the towel. Air dry when possible; tumble dry on low heat is fine but high heat damages the brushed fibers.

With proper care, the plush feel persists through many washes. With improper care, coral fleece flattens quickly — so the care routine matters more than with other towels in the lineup.
